A lot of the time, I see my paintings as more of a collection of ideas visions and experiences. This is a section of the road headed out to the beach and I have driven it hundreds of times. The road rises and runs along the hillside as you hit the final approach to the beach. I used a whole bunch of pictures I have taken over the years and created a type of amalgamation of all the parts I like on that particular stretch and created a unique perspective and included a few of the meaningful parts that make it so special to me.
